sunspotter.co.uk (“the Site”) is run by Is Bananas Ltd, which is responsible for any personal information processed through it.

This policy explains what information sunspotter.co.uk (“the Site”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. You can use the Site anonymously: there are no accounts, and we never ask for your name or email address.

Information collected automatically

The Site is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any website, delivering a page means Cloudflare processes standard request details such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Cloudflare uses them to serve the Site and protect it from abuse. We do not run our own visitor logs or analytics, and we never sell information about visitors.

Cookies and browser storage

The Site itself sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Your Temperature Finder choices are kept in the page address (the part after “?”), so you can bookmark or share a search. They are not stored anywhere else. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading them involves no third party.

Our advertising partner (Google) and the travel companies we link to may set their own cookies, as described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site works without them.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Ads on the Site are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure how ads perform.

• Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are asked for consent, through Google's consent message, before cookies are used for personalised ads. Without consent you may still see non-personalised or limited ads.

• You can turn off personalised advertising across Google in Google's Ad Settings.

Links to holiday companies

Buttons such as “Check price” take you to the holiday company's own website (for example TUI or First Choice). The link may include a tag showing that you came from the Site, which tells us which pages are useful. Once you are on their site, their cookies and privacy policy apply. No company pays to appear on the Site or to change how we rank destinations or deals.

Prices and weather data

The holiday prices and climate figures on the Site come from publicly listed prices and historical weather records. They contain no information about you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Because the Site doesn't collect personal information itself, we will usually hold none. For data held by Google, Cloudflare or a holiday company, contact them directly or use the controls above. If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

The Site is meant for adults planning holidays and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with its date at the top.
